I grew up in a small town in Kansas, thinking I’d stay there forever—but God had other plans! I married a handsome Air Force man, and now we’ve lived all over the U.S. as a military family with our two boys. So far, we’ve called Kansas, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Florida (again), and now Colorado home. With each move, I’ve realized how quickly seasons pass and how easy it is to forget the small, beautiful details without photos to look back on. I’m so grateful that God led me to photography, allowing me to preserve those fleeting moments—not just for my own family, but for others as well.
My love of photography started when I realized just how fleeting these seasons of life are.

Back in 2013, a tall, handsome military guy asked me to two-step at a local country dance club—and we’ve been dancing through life together ever since! Now, we have two wild little boys who fill our days with joy and adventure. Family is everything to us, and no matter where life (or the military) takes us, family will always come first. I have the privilege of homeschooling our oldest, which has been such a rewarding journey. We love exploring the outdoors, enjoying good food, traveling, and curling up on the couch for a cozy movie night. The military may move us from place to place, and time apart isn’t always easy, but we’re grateful for this beautiful life God has blessed us with!

As a little girl, I loved carrying around a camera, capturing family gatherings filled with aunts, uncles, and cousins. As I got older, sports ruled my life, but anytime I could get my hands on a camera, I did. I had a thing for editing my photos on Picnik—and while they were probably atrocious, I absolutely loved the creative outlet. Between 2010 and 2023, I wore many hats—college basketball player, waitress, nanny, second-grade teacher, wife, mom of two, and stay-at-home mom. Then, in early 2023, I felt the pull to start a photography business. A friend lent me her camera, but before I even had time to learn how to use it, the military sent us somewhere new. Finally, in June 2023, SCP began on the stunning beaches of Destin, Florida. My business took off quickly, and I was blessed to photograph over 100 families in my first year. In 2024, the military brought us to Colorado Springs, and now I get to capture weddings, elopements, and families against the backdrop of the beautiful mountains.
